Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information CA Research Group LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects through caresearchgroup.com and our report service, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

• Contact and account details you give us when you sign up or contact us: your name, company, role, work email, and the plan you choose.
• Report requests: the property address or APN, business or entity name, county, intended use, and purpose certification you enter, plus the date, the result summary, and the report ID.
• Payment information: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and a customer reference, but we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Basic technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How we use information

• to run the reports you request and email them to you;
• to manage your subscription, report limits, and private link;
• to bill you and keep business and tax records;
• to answer questions and provide support;
• to prevent misuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and meet legal obligations;
• to fix problems and improve the Service.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to provide the Service:

Sanctions screening is done against a copy of the U.S. Treasury list, so search terms are not sent to the Treasury.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Information in reports

Reports contain information from public government and court records, such as business filings and court cases. That information comes from public sources, not from you. If you believe a public record is wrong, the record must be corrected by the agency or court that keeps it. Contact us and we will point you to the right source.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account information while your subscription is active and afterward as long as needed for business, tax, and legal records. We keep the log of report requests for record-keeping and to show that reports were requested for a certified purpose. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.

6. Security

We use reputable service providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), private report links, and restricted access to our systems. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your private report link confidential.

7. Your choices and California privacy rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we have about you and how we use it;
• correct information that is wrong;
• delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal, tax, or security reasons;
• stop sending you non-essential emails.

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there, and we will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights. To make a request, email us. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.

8. Children

The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the effective date above, and if a change is material we will email active subscribers.
